DC Native museum forces women to remove water protector flag pins


‘With absolutely no irony intended, the National Museum of the American Indian forced Native American women Saturday to remove their jackets and flags protesting against the Dakota Access pipeline with slogans that read, “Water is Life” and “Mni Wiconi.”

‘The hypocrisy behind the national museum’s request was not lost on Native Americans as many took to social media to denounce the attack on the Indigenous community and its attempts to protect their land and their culture.’
